Searching the Scriptures

Do not conform to the present world but be transformed by the renewal of the mind in order to discern what is the will of God, which is good, pleasant and perfect. Romans 12.2

Tablet, computer or smartphone, all digital tools need regular updates to improve performance, efficiency, and correct anomalies. Failure to update or postpone them poses a risk to the security of the media and the data it contains.

In living with God, updating is continual, daily and ceaseless. Nothing is more dangerous than to stay on the experiences of the past or what was acquired yesterday. God is Creator. He acts continually and always in a renewed way. Do not compartmentalize him in what you understood him to be before. He is Almighty and Sovereign.

In the wilderness, the Hebrews were to collect manna each morning. Those who didn't want to listen and made a reservation for the next day saw it rot in the worst possible way.

If you hold on only to the blessings of the past or your previous understanding of God, not only will you deprive yourself of today's favor, but you will see what you hold on to and think you keep rotting away.

Be grateful for what God gave you yesterday. It was good for yesterday, but today brings its share of new challenges and new benefits as well. Always search for your portion of the day and download the update God has planned for you !

Listen to the voice of God

Let's take the time to listen to what God means. Ask God what in your life needs updating.

Praying is simple. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and He can hear everything. Here is an example prayer : "Lord, today I want an update of your presence in my life. I do not want to rely on what I experienced yesterday. Thank you for what you have given me. once, but I want your blessing today !"

Praise God

To praise God is to show Him our gratitude. Today, what are your subjects of recognition ? Take a moment to thank the Lord for this.

Act today

Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.

Honor the Lord

Our route for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"Thank you for all that was accomplished yesterday by your grace. I thank you for all the new that is to come and that I want to welcome with joy, by faith. To you, be the reign, the power and the glory to never. Let it be so !"
