Eat and drink at will !

"All of you who are thirsty, come, here is water ! And even you who have no money, come, buy and eat !..." Isaiah 55.1

We had just left the dentist's appointment for Maria, my biggest daughter. We had an hour left before the ophthalmic appointment for Anna, my second daughter. I told them, "We have time, so let's eat something !"

We stumbled upon a famous American fast food restaurant and entering a person called out to me : "But what are you doing here ?" I recognized Thierry, my new neighbor in Ozoir-la-Ferriere arrived since a few months.

He continued : "You come to eat at my house !!" What a surprise to discover that he was the owner of this fast food ! He said to me : "Wait, I have something for you." He came back with an "unlimited VIP" card saying to me : "You can eat unlimited food today, with no time limit, when you want and with your family in all our restaurants !"

"You are VIP for God !"

What Grace ! All three, with my two daughters, we ate well that day and of course without paying anything! You're going to tell me, "How lucky, he must enjoy it !" but the reality is that the following weeks, I felt embarrassed. I thought I did not deserve this beautiful gift. It took me time to decide to go back, while everything was already paid for me by Thierry and that it made him so happy that I benefit !

Do not we all do the same thing ? Jesus paid the price so that we could enjoy 24 hours a day of God's grace, in all places, in unlimited, free and for eternity ! The prophet Isaiah had anticipated and illustrated this grace to come in Jesus as well : "And even you who have no money, come, buy and eat !" (Isaiah 55.1)

Do you deprive yourself of the grace of God ? Do you feel distant from him, guilty, unworthy, but at the same time hungry and thirsty for his presence ? Run day after day in the arms of your Heavenly Father who wants to satisfy you with all his benefits, and this in all areas of your life : spiritual, emotional, relational and material !

You are VIP for God !

A prayer for today

Father, I do not deserve your grace, but I decide today not to deprive myself of it and to receive in prayer what is due to me as a child and heir of God. I believe that today you will provide (quote your needs) because you are my Dad and you will always take care of me and my family ! I ask you that in the name of your Son Jesus. Amen.
