Exactly wha you need

"And he said : Blessed be the LORD, my daughter : this last thing bears witness more to you than the first, for you have not sought young men, rich or poor." Ruth 3.10

When Naomi arrived in Israel, she had almost nothing. Indeed, after settling with her family in Moab, her sons and husband died and when she returned to Israel, all she had left was her daughter-in-law, Ruth. They were so poor that Ruth had to glean the grain left by the workers just to have enough to eat.

Know that God knows your needs ...

Ruth could have abandoned everything, or suffered despair, but everyone was impressed by her attitude of kindness to her mother-in-law, and her courage in her work. She was valiant and faithful, and had a good reputation. She gleaned in the field of a rich man called Boaz. The latter, having heard of his conduct, granted him special blessings by ordering his servants to intentionally leave a few ears to be gleaned between the sheaves. The two women then discovered - oh marvel ! - that he was a distant relative and finally, Ruth and Boaz were married.

God had done a miracle by providing all three with exactly what they needed: Ruth found a husband, Naomi and she no longer had to worry about their tomorrows, and Boaz found a wife, which for him, was an important matter. In fact, he was even surprised that Ruth was interested in him and praised her for his kindness.

What are your needs today ? Does your situation seem desperate ? Know that God knows your needs and is ready to satisfy them in a surprising way. Be sure to remain faithful in everything you do. Be hardworking and obedient, good and loving. Sow the seeds of time, talent and resources you have received. Remain faithful and believe that it will meet your needs and guide your steps.

A prayer for today

Father, I give you my needs. I believe that you will provide for it because everything is possible for you. I trust in you. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
