Exercising our authority

On the way to pray, Peter and John one day met a crippled man at the door of the temple, asking for alms. Upon hearing his request, Peter asked the man to look at him. The cripple was waiting to receive a few coins from them, but instead he heard Peter say : "I have neither money nor gold ; But what I have, I give it to you : in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, arise and walk" (Acts 3: 6).

What an interesting saying : "but what I have." Peter had in him the ability to proclaim in the name of Jesus : "Arise and walk !" Note that Peter did not pray for man before Make this proclamation. Because he had the Holy Spirit in him, Peter knew what the Father was doing, so he could proclaim it as a reality. In fact, he was so confident that he leaned over, took the man by the right hand and put him on his feet. Immediately, force came into that man's feet and ankles and he began to walk, jump and praise God.

There is a time to pray : "If it is Your will," even when it comes to healing. There may be times when you are not convinced that the Lord will heal someone, but if you receive this trust in your mind, do not hold back ! Begin to pray for this person with faith : "You are healed in the name of Jesus !"

You can extend this prayer to other situations :

"Your marriage will come to an end, in the name of Jesus !"

"You are released in the name of Jesus !"

"My son / my daughter, will go home, in the name of Jesus !"
