Expose the Good News

"Then Philip spoke, and from this scripture he told him the good news of Jesus" (Acts 8:35).

At this point, we reach the climate of conversation. Philippe took the time to listen to his interlocutor, so without any difficulty, it returns the favor. Sitting on the chariot next to the eunuch, Philip shares the good news inspired by the passage the eunuch was reading in the Torah.

The missionary David Livingstone said : "All that I am, I owe it to Jesus Christ, revealed to me in his divine book".

We must never forget that we are called to announce the good news, and this good news is Jesus. Philippe set about presenting a Christocentric message. He preached Christ.

Preaching Christ means :

1 - to preach the person of Christ, his coming on earth (his incarnation), his human and divine nature, his earthly ministry, his work (his death on the cross), his resurrection, his ascension and his forthcoming return.

2 - to preach the message that Christ preached, that is, repentance, faith, and conversion.

3 - preach the active presence of risen Christ, his ability to heal, deliver and save.
