Facing the mirror !

Ezekiel 36.26 A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit will I put within you ; I will take away the heart of stone out of your body, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

The Lord wants to put a new spirit within each of us and give us a heart of flesh. The stone is hard, nothing can pass through, and the water of the Word cannot pass through it. Flesh, on the other hand, is sensitive and allows its tissues to soak up water.

We live in a special time and things are happening. The desire of God, for these times to come, is to fill us with a new spirit and to take away our heart of stone and give us a heart of flesh. The Word of God, which is spirit and life, is given to us by the Lord Himself to do a work in US, in ME.

Why am I capitalizing these words ? Because we have a real tendency to meditate on the Word and interpret it only in relation to the situations and behaviors of others. Oh of course, when the Lord tells us for example : "You will be a shining crown in the hand of the Lord, a royal turban in the hand of your God...", we take it for ourselves but when we read things that are less pleasing to us, we think how much our sister or brother would really need to read this! Yet God is speaking to us first. It is on my situations, on my heart that God desires to do a work.

When I present myself before God, it is on my life and my life alone (behaviors, words, actions, motivations...) that I will be accountable. It is time for us Christians to immerse ourselves completely in the Word and let ourselves be transformed, allowing it to penetrate us until we share soul and spirit, joints and marrow and judge our feelings and the thoughts of our hearts (Hebrews 4:12). As long as we read the Word for others, our hearts will remain hard and the Spirit will not be able to do its work in us.

James 1:23 and 24 tells us : "For if anyone listens to the word and does not put it into practice, he is like a man who looks in a mirror at his natural face, and who, after looking at himself,s 'go away, and immediately forgets who he was".

It is the time my friends to stop us, not to hide our face but on the contrary, to let the Word reflect the real state of our souls, "plunging our eyes into the perfect law, the law of freedom, and persevering, not being a forgetful listener, but putting himself to work, he will be happy in his activity (James 1:25).
