Fake news or good news ?

Fake news or good news ?

Since the President of the Republic spoke of "fakes news", some like me have tried to find out what it is exactly.

The "fakes news" (English expression) were called by the Commission for the enrichment of the French language : "information fallacieuse" or "infox". The purpose of these new causes is either to make a joke, as for April 1, or to knowingly deliver slanderous or false information that can be widely disseminated in the media to deceive listeners.

Is this really new ? No, the Roman historian Tacitus relates that the Emperor Nero, suspected of being the author of the burning of Rome, accused the Christians and unleashed a violent persecution against them.

Another example : the infox on Jesus and on God, which Satan, "the father of lies" has been disseminating among men for centuries. We can cite those who present Jesus as a simple guru, or the image of a "good Lord" who will take into account our good deeds to open his paradise to us. Or those who deny the existence of God and present the existence of man as the result of chance.

How do you know the truth ? By taking God at His Word. In the Bible, his Word, he tells us that he reveals himself to those who seek him. Let us read the Bible sincerely seeking to know the truth, without preconceptions. Let us prefer the good news of the gospel to all the false information which can only trouble us and drive peace from our minds.
