Find the flavor !

"You are the salt of the earth, but if salt loses its flavor, with what will it be returned to him ? It serves only to be thrown out and trampled on by men." Matthew 5.13

Jesus said that the church is supposed to be the salt of the earth. Salt is a preservative.

Our work, as an accomplished church, is to be the salt of society.

The church of the Lord Jesus Christ has many roles to fulfill on this earth. Before all things, the church is supposed to reach and win the "lost".

It must continually be built, grow and strengthen with time. The church must grow in the light and knowledge of God's will, in its ways, its power, its abilities and talents.

All these steps will be taken through the ministry of the Word and the leaders chosen by God. The leaders have the task of being "salt shakers" that shake people and preserve them. Our work, as an accomplished church, is to be the salt of society.

A prayer for today

Church leaders need you to pray for them to continue to make sure the body of Christ makes a difference in the world.

Pray for your leaders the prayer found in 1 Timothy 2.1-4

"Therefore, I urge you, above all things, to pray, supplicate, petition, and thank you, for all men, for kings, and for all who are raised in dignity, so that we may lead a life Peaceful and tranquil, in all piety and honesty, it is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior who wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
