Focus !

Our eyes are focused on who, on what ? Social networks invite us to interfere more or less silently in the lives of others. On the other hand, you have those who flaunt themselves in plain sight, display their wealth, travel, etc.

We all more or less indulge in these two modes of operation: we are sometimes one, sometimes the other. For those of us who display wealth, houses, travels, blessings of all kinds : what is this display animated by if not by appearing and saying, remaining silent : "I am someone" . We can say this is not true, but yet, if we search our hearts, we will be able to face what really drives us behind this way of doing things.

And what about those who view all of these things ? Are we looking at all of this rejoicing in the happiness of others or is there a little twinge of our hearts, a feeling of injustice, unacknowledged jealousy ?

My friends, let's face it and realize how much we need to change our behaviors. Doesn't the Bible teach us not to covet our neighbor's house, nor his field, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that belongs to his neighbor (Deuteronomy 5.21).

The Word also teaches us to be sober (which shows moderation, reserve). 1 Peter 3.8 tells us : "Finally, all be animated by the same thoughts and the same feelings full of brotherly love, compassion, humility". The Word still teaches us in Romans 14.13 not to do anything that would be a stumbling block or a stumbling block to our brother.

Do not let each other go to all these behaviors. Let us enter into ourselves, humble ourselves under his mighty hand, may our gaze change direction and our focus be on our Lord Jesus and on his Word, He who never tires of forgiving us.

Our only appearance should be the image of Christ and our only desire: to be ever more like Him.
