Give up anger

"Leave the anger, give up the fury, do not irritate yourself, it would be wrong." Psalm 37.8

It is easy to identify the origin of anger when it follows an immediate or obvious situation. For example, someone jostles you at the supermarket (or doubles you) and does not apologize. It makes you angry.

It is sometimes more difficult to know why we are angry, especially if we are not aware of it ...

Only God can enlighten you on what produces anger at home.

Anger is then latent, asleep. Like a volcano, it can wake up at any time, causing havoc without even knowing where it comes from.

Maybe it has happened to you already ? To anger you without knowing why ... Where can this state of latent anger come from ?

Of an offense never forgiven,

"Learned" behavior in a conflictual family environment,

An unwanted break,

Of unresolved grief.

And there may be many other reasons. Only God can enlighten you on what produces this in you.

What is certain is that anger, whether immediate or latent, is an emotion that can be so strong that it makes us "blind and deaf". It's like putting a blindfold on your eyes and plugging your ears - it stops you from making the right decisions ...

Imagine again : you severely cut your finger, what are you doing ? Whatever your answer, you certainly know that it is important to properly disinfect the wound to prevent infection.

We all encounter situations that make us angry. Circumstances sometimes so serious that they hurt as much as a nick. We are then discontented, frustrated. We ruminate this anger. We feed her. And as you know, what we feed eventually grows. Clearly, if this anger is not treated, it ends up getting infected.

That's why it's so important to heal wounds to treat anger.

A prayer for today

If you feel concerned by this problem, pray with me :

"Lord, I need you, heal my heart of anger, purify my thoughts, I also give you what hurts me, thank you for the care you bring to my life, to my soul, thank you for the total healing."
