Good reading and good listening on CJQS, your Radio Gospel at this address : http://cjqsradio.blogspot.be/p/radio.html and do not forget the emission Force Gospel at 16 h to Quebec, 22 h in Europe or 00 h 00 in Africa. Come numerous bless you the ears with the listening of this emission where you will hear of very beautiful pieces chosen in English and French. Be blessed.

"All the families of the earth shall be blessed ... All peoples on earth will be blessed through your seed" (Genesis 12.3 ; Genesis 22:18).

To accomplish its mission of salvation for mankind, God will choose Abraham. While men are plunged into a general polytheism, God will reveal himself to Abraham to become the vector of its mission. God wants to bless all mankind because it is eminently missionary. The call of Abraham announced initially the vocation of Israel, and secondly that of Jesus Christ.
Following Abraham, and to follow Christ, every believer is called to enter into God's mission : To bless all families of the earth by introducing them to the blessing that comes from Jesus' sacrifice.

Note that the first thing God said was : "I will bless you." Before becoming a channel of blessing it is essential that we have received the same blessing of salvation, which is given us by grace, like Abraham.
Abraham is not called to make converts, he is called to be a channel of blessing. It would be wrong to think that God calls us to convert the world, he calls us to bless the nations sharing the blessings we have received in Christ. God wants to make known to all men that Jesus came to deliver us from the curse of sin, and grant us the blessing of salvation. "There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8.1).

The call of Abraham implies a break, a departure : "Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house" (Genesis 12.1). It would be simplistic to see in these words of God that a reference to "go to the other side of the world" to God's mission. The mission of God is here and now, but with believers who completely trust him, that does not cling to the old traditions, which give the tutelary idols, to follow the word of God. This is what Martin Luther did when he abandoned there five hundred years, the tradition of indulgences to follow only Scripture. It was in God's mission without leaving the ends of the earth.
It may be that to enter God's mission, you need to let go of certain things. Do not hesitate to do so.

A tip for today :

To enter the mission of God, abandon the confidence in your works, your merits, your culture, your abilities ; believe in the Word of God, receive the blessing of salvation by grace, then share it around you.
