"He was tempted like us in all things" (Hebrews 4:15).

Having assumed our humanity by taking a body like ours, the Lord is able to understand us perfectly. It is not a distant and inaccessible God, an indifferent observer of the human condition, he lived in his flesh and soul the same trials as us.
You cross a discharge period, contempt, unjust accusations, betrayal, abandonment, fatigue, weariness ... he knew it all.

Betrayed by Judas, denied by Peter, abandoned by all, he climbs to Golgotha. In Gethsemane, all his disciples fall asleep when he delivers the most terrible battle of his life.
By the time he began his ministry, some of his own family accused him of having gone insane (Mark 3.21). He suffers the jeers of a crowd drawn against him by the religious of his time.
It is unjustly sentenced to death, and one of the robbers despises and reviles.
Throughout his service he experienced fatigue, thirst and hunger.
The death of his friend Lazarus deeply affected and before his tomb, he wept (John 11.35).

The prophet Isaiah gave this description of Jesus : "He is despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, like one whose face is diverted, we have disdained we have made him not" (Isaiah 53.3). He came unto his own and his people rejected him (John 1.11). We sought false witnesses to falsely accuse (Matthew 26.59). In his prime, he was sentenced to death.

That is why he is able to understand you when you are jostled by the tragedies of life. Draw near to him with confidence, he understands your pain, he sees your tears, he knows your alarm, you said, "I've been there, I understand and I want you to help you."
Being a Christian is not a life free from temptations, without drama, without difficulties, there will be dark days, vacuum passages, tribulations, but in the middle of all this there will be Jesus, the one who understands you .

My prayer on this day :
Thank you Lord because at the time I pass through trial and temptation, you do not come to me with complaints or moral lessons, but you hold out a helping hand to me because you understand me. You are my defender, my lawyer, and you know my case because you are going through these moments of loneliness, rejection and abandonment. Amen!
