Glem of morning of 2016/10/27 : The bees relentless workers - By Paul Calzada

Good reading and good listening on C.J.Q.S., your Radio Gospel at this address : http://cjqsradio.blogspot.be/p/radio.html come numerous bless you the ears the listening of this beautiful radio. Be blessed.

"Deborah, Rebecca's nurse died" (Genesis 35.8).

Deborah means "bee". This is a very significant name carried by this nurse. She was responsible for feeding Rebecca. Bees are essential for human survival, not only because they provide honey, but mainly because they pollinate plants and thus our food.

Bees are mentioned only four times in the Bible, while honey, derived from their labor is mentioned sixty-five times. We have, then, a valuable indication of the denial of these workers bitter. What is of importance is not that they are often quoted, but what they do is put forward. We see this as an encouragement to work for the glory of God alone ! We can say with the psalmist : "My work is for the king" (Psalm 45.2).

Their main ability is to turn their pollen collection in this sweet substance and so beneficent what honey. Like them, we are called to produce this beneficial fruit of gentleness : "The fruit of the Spirit is love ... the sweetness ..." Galatians 5:22. Speaking to the Philippians, Paul said : "Let your gentleness be known to all men" (Philippians 4.5). Similarly, it calls the Colossians to be full of sweetness : "Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with guts ... gentleness and patience" (Colossians 3.12).

If one day he would not have bee so more pollination, we would quickly starve worldwide. They are living vectors.
As they are called to promote the emergence of the spiritual life around us. The bees are not aggressive as are the hornets or wasps. Besides, when they sting, this is at the expense of their lives, as they lose their sting and die. The believer hurt himself when he indulges in violence or anger. He can say he's hurt, but in fact he injured himself.

Oddly enough bees are part of the story of Samson. It is said that Samson killed a lion : "A few days later ... he turned aside to see the lion's corpse, and behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcass of the lion" (Judges 14.8) . "From the strong came forth sweetness says Samson." But for the soft appear it took the fort died. It is as if to remind us that the sweetness occurs when death to ourselves firstly operates.

My prayer on this day :

Lord, I want to be like Deborah, a "bee" that manifests the fruit of gentleness and "feeds" the people around me. Amen !

Paul Calzada
