Glow morning of 2/10/2016: Jacob started a family! - By Paul Calzada

Happy reading and good listening on C.J.Q.S. Your Gospel Radio at: http://cjqsradio.blogspot.fr/p/radio.html and remember Praise Worship at 13 am in Quebec, + 6 am in Europe or + 7 am in Africa. In this program you will hear beautiful English parts. Come you blessed ears. Be blessed.

"Jacob loved Rachel ... Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days because he loved her "(Genesis 29.18.20).

Once is not custom, this thought is essentially directed towards those planning to marry and to found a family, or to those who, after a drama (divorce, widowhood), plan to rebuild a relationship.

When we read in the Bible, the providential meeting of Jacob and Rachel, one might think that a lightning strike took place between these two young people, but if lightning has been, it took they wait seven years and seven days to be husband and wife!

A long time engagement that gives us a glimpse into the heart of Jacob, it was not a stroke of lightning passenger he had experienced, but a deep and intense love.

While we live in the age of instant, "everything" right away, of planned obsolescence, disposable after single use "fast" often detrimental long engagement ... Jacob invite us to reflect on the depth of engagement, the need to take time to get to know before committing.

Certainly it is not necessary to wait for seven years, but enough time to test the strength of the feelings that one experiences, and begin to know.

The importance of choosing a mate - or a mate - is essential to build a happy home.

This choice requires taking a step back compared to the attraction that inspires you the beloved.

It is not always easy, social or family pressure, the fire of passion, fear of being alone (e), can push you to engage in a relationship without taking time to think.

That's what told me one day, both partners of a couple on the brink of divorce: "We married without thinking! "

What drama! For Jacob, the wait was not a waste of time, he learned about this voluntary shepherdess, measuring the depth of his feelings for her. Jacob, the fiery, learned self-control, patience, to the point of not getting bored!

A tip for today:

Are you planning to build a relationship?

Take time to get to know, test the depth of your feelings. If you are rushed, not do not beat you, know that with God's grace there is always time to do well.

Past mistakes must not hinder your walk; God can and wants to help you to root your love over time, and for your pleasure. Paul Calzada
