A young man walked the streets of New York, and hit businesses doors asking if there might be a job for him. He entered the offices of a renowned company, and was greeted by the personnel director. By opening his bag to take it a resume to present to the director, the young man, somewhat stressed, threw the contents of the book, and a book fell at his feet. Immediately, the man who received the asked him, "What is this book? "- It's a Bible, sir, 'replied the boy. - But what do you do with a Bible in New York? - What shall I do? Well I'll read every morning, as I promised my mother on her death bed, the young man said, preparing to leave. - Wait a minute, 'said the director. Sit down, I promise you; you made the best recommendations possible, pointing to the Bible.

Years later, the young man became a very competent professional and trustworthy, became a partner in the business.

The director believed in the moral qualities a man can develop when leaving the Word of God forming his character.

Of course, there is no question of falling into a kind of blissful idealism, or legalism drying.

Any reader of the Bible will not see his character changed because the bed

For it makes changes, it is essential to not only read, but to let her live in us so that it produces actions of love towards God and men.

After recalling the importance of receiving the Word, Jacques shows the effects it produces in us and acts of love to which it leads us.

In it we developed a healthy control our words and it leads us to show love to all, "If anyone thinks to be religious, hold his tongue ... religion is worthless.

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted "(Jacques 1.26 / 27).

My prayer on this day:

Lord, I trust in your word. I want her to live in me so that I am master of my words, and it makes me grow in love of others, whoever they are. That by its action in my life, it prevents me from making value judgments about people, and it prints your character in my life. Amen! Paul Calzada
