Universal God : this being on which my reason stumbles, because I can only observe his existence, without explaining it, without succeeding in knowing him by my own efforts. I have to admit : God bothers me...

God so great : How can we not be seized by the infinite greatness of the author of creation ? How not to be ecstatic in front of nature ? How to explain life ? How to understand the aspiration of the man towards the spiritual field, whereas it could have been only one mass of matter, functioning like a machine ? I can only admit : God amazes me...

God judges : What a horror ! If God exists, it makes sense that he will one day call me to account. It would be so much better if there was no Creator ! So, anything would be allowed ! No morality would be universal, no one would have a transcendent authority to impose anything on me ! I could believe myself free... Because I cannot hide my face : God frightens me...

Unknown God : I don't know how to appease him, nor how to satisfy him. There are so many representations of God, so many religions that claim to bring a being as small as me to a God as great as him. But how can you be sure that you are doing enough ? I cannot be fooled : either he attracts me to him, or I will always be wrong about him. Yes, we have to admit it : God despairs me...
