God can turn your failures into success

“But at your word, I will let down the nets.” Luke 5. 5

"When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon : "Go to where the water is deep and cast down your nets to fish." Simon answered him : “Master, we have worked all night without taking anything ; but at your word I will let down the nets.” They threw them down and caught a great quantity of fish, and their nets were torn.” (Luke 5.4-6). Notice the two principles illustrated here :

1- To get your attention, God sometimes resorts to failure. When Jesus speaks to Peter, the latter is tired, disappointed and has returned empty-handed from his fishing. God can speak to you through a failing marriage, a struggling child, or a job that feels too hard. His goal is not to see you run away from your problems, but to see you learn from them. If you invite Him to be involved in your situation, you will see a big difference.

2- God can bring you back to your failure and guarantee you success. We sometimes assume that if we failed in a particular area, it was not God's will. But often the truth is that we failed because we relied on our own strength and not on His. When Jesus spoke, the fish responded ! The Bible says : “They cast them down and caught a great quantity of fish, and their nets were torn. They signaled to their companions who were in the other boat to come and help them. They came and filled the two boats, so that they were sinking. (Luke 5.6-7). It is not your circumstances that limit God, but your unbelief ! If you trust Him, you will find that the magnitude of His riches will meet all your expectations.
