God cares for you

"Our God loves with tenderness." Psalm 116.5

"Get rid of all your worries as he takes care of you." 1 Peter 5.7

In March 2017, I went through a terrible ordeal. In a few days, I underwent four operations, that is twenty hours of intervention and I was close to death.

How often do you worry about problems that have already been resolved in the spiritual world !

While the surgeons had come to me for the third time in the emergency block and I was in critical condition, I felt death prowling. I was very bad and I was scared. I did not understand what was happening to me. A cry came out of my heart : "God, where are you ?" At that moment, a surgeon leaned over me. I did not know him and I read his name on his blouse. He was called "Emmanuel", God with us !

At that time, in my mind, I did not see the doctor but Jesus. He was sitting on the edge of the operating table and his attitude contrasted with the atmosphere of stress in the room. Jesus was looking at me with tenderness, he was smiling and he was perfectly calm and confident. My anxiety faded. I fell asleep, won by this peace. During the procedure that followed, I had hemorrhagic shock, pulmonary edema with pleural effusion and respiratory arrest. Death was there but Jesus too. I came out of a coma the next day.

Do you know what I believe ? It was not my time to die because God had to keep me alive. But he saw my anguish and rushed to reassure me. Jesus, in his tenderness, came to comfort me and, in his love, to reveal to me that I had nothing to fear.

Life does no gift to anyone. Difficult moments and trials invite each other. We are human and our first reaction is panic most of the time. But if Jesus lives in us, then the second time must come : that of prayer and help. Why ? Because Christ, our model, knew our sorrows, our sufferings, our tribulations and that he came out victorious. He understands us perfectly. He who believes in Jesus is never abandoned.

First, Jesus knows your sorrows, he understands you so perfectly that he runs when you suffer. He takes care of you. Secondly, faith allows you to see what is happening in the supernatural and to go beyond your difficulties. How often do you worry about problems that have already been resolved in the spiritual world !

A decision for today

Jesus, I want to exercise this second look of faith that allows you to see how you see. I know you are here because you are the God who cares tenderly for me.
