Indeed, I, I know the plans that I form for you, declares the Lord, plans of peace and not of misfortune, in order to give you a future and hope. Jeremiah 29. 11
God gave me a future
"The memories of my childhood are mixed: my mother loved her children, and my father, because of alcohol, lost a little control of his life and his family. I see myself, as a child, walking along the sidewalk. , staring only at my feet, filled with anguish at the thought of coming home. Why is this only happening to me ? No one to answer my questions...
When I was 15, I went to live in Spain with my cousins. I grew up until then without really knowing the good and the bad. I only had as benchmarks my mother who had protected us and my older brother, respected in our neighborhood... for his "exploits" of violence. Little by little, alcohol and drugs punctuate my life, from party to party I wake up around noon, and laze around in the atmosphere of drugs and music until 4 or 5 in the morning. My life is empty...
One day I receive a letter from my older brother. He writes to me that he was touched by Jesus, that his life has changed. He attached a Gospel of John to his letter. I, who never read, read the gospel in four days. The shock is immediate. The love of God seizes me. I decide to come back to France to find my brother, and accompany him to church. I am greeted warmly.
God takes the time to rebuild me. About six months later, I ask to be baptized. Since then, I have resumed my studies, passed exams and found work. I even started a family. God gave me back a future and a hope : Jesus Christ".
