God knows the end of the story

"Your thoughts are not my thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, declares the Lord ; so great is the heaven above the earth, so are my ways raised above your ways, Thoughts are raised above yours." Isaiah 55: 8-9

I propose an experiment : stick your eyes on the screen and try to read, then backward by about thirty centimeters. Go for it !

Your life is in the hands of God ...

What did you notice ? Normally, when your eyes were a few millimeters from the screen, you had only blurred vision. Then, once at a reasonable distance (depending on your age ☺), you could read and understand. It is the same with God.

Quite often, you happen to stress because your thinking, your intelligence are stuck on the page of your life. That makes you panic. Now realize that God alone has the necessary distance and sees all your history. He alone knows the outcome of all things. That's why trust him.

As a child, I was fascinated by the story of Joseph in Genesis. His life provoked intense emotions in me. Rejected by his brothers, he was sold to a caravan of merchants. Then he found himself in Egypt, in a market place, coined as a slave in a country of which he knew neither the customs nor the language. Far from his father, he was bought by a powerful Egyptian man named Potiphar. He worked for him with all his heart realizing that God was accompanying him in this ordeal. Quickly, he climbed the ladder and became a responsible in this house. Unfortunately, he was wrongly accused of rape by his master's wife and sent to prison. After a few years, he came out of this place of torment and became the governor of Egypt, only Pharaoh was superior to him. Do you understand ? Even when his situation was often desperate, the Lord held Joseph in the palm of his hands.

Your life is in the hands of God and not in the hands of men. The Lord sometimes allows you to go through difficult times but refuse bad feelings. Believe that your Lord knows the end of history. He alone knows the way forward.

A prayer for today

Lord, you know my life better than myself. Sometimes I complain and I do not realize that you alone know the way forward. Help me to trust you on the path of my life.
