God remains at work

Searching the Scriptures

Every blessing and every perfect gift descends from above ; they descend from the Father of lights. James 1.17

When I went to work, I rode my bike every day and in all seasons: in the sun or in the rain, in hot weather as in cold weather. Sometimes on the way out I would break records. Pedaling with astonishing ease, I had the pleasant feeling that I had suddenly turned into a champion. Just a feeling : I actually had the wind in my back. On the return, on the contrary, I was dragging myself along with the feeling that I had become zero on my bicycle. Just one more impression : this time, I had the headwind.

In life, you can also encounter this kind of situation. When everything works the way you want it to, you feel like you are the best, that you are successful, that you are capable. However, when the winds are contrary, you feel like you are bad, missing everything, unable.

The truth is very different from a spiritual point of view.

To believe that you are in control of your life is an illusion and a lie from the enemy. Everything you have received is from God. The breath of life, the talent, the abilities, the possessions... Everything is a gift from your Creator. Be grateful for what he offers you and you will be all the more joyful, clairvoyant and blessed.

Likewise, when difficulty and trial come, do not blame yourself. Do not think that you are necessarily responsible for everything or that God has abandoned you. You face the adversity that every human being experiences because of the sin that dominates him. But the good news is that God can and will knock this wind blowing against you and turn it in your favor. Shout at him ; he is the only one capable of transforming your circumstances.

Listen to the voice of God

Let’s take the time to listen to what God means. Are you facing headwinds ? Let the Lord communicate his peace to your heart.

Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : "Lord, I thank you for all that you give me and I offer my gratitude to you for all that is good, pleasant and positive in my life. I also give you my difficulties and the trial. pain that I am going through. Strengthen me and change my circumstances for your mighty love accompanies me and holds me. Amen."

Praise God

To praise God is to show him our gratitude. What are your subjects of recognition today ? Take a moment to thank the Lord.

Act today

Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.

Honor the Lord

Our route for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"Thank you for this encouragement, Lord, which prompts me to persevere in spite of everything... Yours be the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
