God's timing is always perfect
Searching the Scriptures
There is as much distance between how I act and yours, between what I think and what you think, as between heaven and earth. Isaiah 55.9
Many Christians find it difficult to keep the faith when they pray for something and fail to see their prayers come true after a few days. They say to themselves : "My faith must not work ! What is wrong with me ?"
The problem is, they look at things from their point of view, not from God. Divine thoughts, ideas and views are much higher than ours !
When God tells you something, you have to believe it because its timing is perfect. Did you know that Jesus prophesied the fall of the temple in Jerusalem forty years before this happened ?
If anyone had read this prophecy two weeks, two months or two years after Jesus spoke it, they would have said to themselves : "He is a false prophet !" Forty years later, it turned out exactly as Jesus predicted.
Don't put God in your timing box. He sees much further than us and operates on a totally different time slot from ours. Everything he says will come true. His thoughts are much bigger than ours.
Listen to the voice of God
Let's take the time to listen to what God means. We tend to look at things from our perspective and not that of God. Ask God to show you how He views your situation.
Praying is simple. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and He can hear everything. Here is an example prayer : "Lord, I don't want to limit myself to what I see. Help me to trust you fully, for your timing is always perfect."
Praise God
To praise God is to show Him our gratitude. Today, what are your subjects of recognition? Take a moment to thank the Lord for this.
Act today
Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.
Honor the Lord
Our route for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
"Lord, I no longer want to trust my own intelligence. You see far beyond me. I put all my hope in you. Keep me in peace. Thine be the kingdom, the power and the glory to never. Let it be so !"
