God shares his heart !

Jeremiah 8:18 - I would like to relieve my pain; my heart is aching inside me.

These words were spoken by Jeremiah the prophet. He is gripped by what is going on in the heart of God. Misfortune is falling upon the people of Israel who are deeply responsible for what is happening, adding sin to abomination. It is then that the Lord expresses His "feeling" to his prophet.

Have you never felt this kind of feeling in a similar situation ? People you love have everything to succeed in their lives, to be happy, fulfilled and fulfilled, but despite this, they ruin their lives for I do not know what passion or addiction. Such a waste ! Unfortunately, humans have a strong tendency to make bad choices and to destroy themselves.

This "feeling" which the Lord feels and which He shares with his prophet is none other than the pain of love. 1 Corinthians 13:6 tells us that love does not rejoice in unrighteousness. When human beings destroy themselves, it is a deep injustice because they were not created for it ! The Creator wants a life of joy, peace, grace and love for his creatures. All the advice of the Word of God, the Bible, points in this direction. Let's face it that if all human beings put these prescriptions into practice, the world would be a paradise !

My beloved, every time we miss the point of why we were created, it affects the Lord. He takes so much pleasure in blessing us. His feeling is the same as that of a parent who sees his child destroying himself. Shouldn't this dimension of love push us to seek salvation and healing from Him ? Haven't we cried enough because of our disobedience ? Are we still hard and unresponsive to the call for mercy that comes from the cross, where all the curse has been suffered ?

You say to me : "Isn't God Almighty to stop this ?". Oh yes, He can do it ! In one word, He can heal us, console us, restore us to our dignity... But He will never force anyone to receive the manifestation of His love, He is only waiting for these few words in our heart : "Lord, help me !".
