God will provide for you needs

"And he who provides seed to the sower and bread for food will supply you with seed, multiply it and increase the produce of your righteousness." 2 Corinthians 9:10

You must make the decision to look only at God for your sustenance. Tell him that you will expect him alone to provide for your needs and that you will not seek elsewhere.

When God closes a channel, he can open another.

It is important not to confuse the channel with the source. God may use your salary as a channel to provide for your needs, but your employer is only the means of divine provision - and God can choose another as soon as he wishes.

When you start looking elsewhere for the answer to your needs, you confuse the channel with the source, a clear alarm signal will light up immediately. It is called anxiety.

Suppose you consider your work as the source instead of the channel. You may worry and think, "What if I lose my job ?" Know that even if this channel closes, the source to which you are supplying continues to flow for you. When God closes a channel, he can open another.

Once you have defined your need, you must leave to God the choice of the channel through which he will provide it. It may be different from the one you would have opted for; In fact, God can deliberately choose another to teach you to expect Him to answer all your needs.

In nearly forty years of Christian life, I learned that it was exciting to just let God be God. It is exciting to see it respond to a need in a way you never thought possible or to which you would never have thought for yourself.

God alone is the one who provides for your needs.

A prayer for today

Lord, I believe that you are the one who provides for all my needs whatever they may be. I choose to trust you completely and to walk by faith without doubt. Amen.
