Grow in faith

Searching the Scriptures

So faith comes from what we hear, and what we hear comes from the word of God. Romans 10:17

To know the level of your faith, pay attention to your words : "The word they heard was of no use to them because they were not united in faith to those who listened." (Hebrews 4.2)

Reading the Word of God is not enough, it is up to you to receive it and proclaim it. We say all kinds of things, but sometimes we don't really believe them because they are not an integral part of our life.

Live in such a way that if God was not who he says he is, your life would be meaningless.

Be inclined to look for opportunities to trust God more. To believe that he can intervene no matter what situation you are going through. To strengthen your faith for the challenges ahead.

Here's how : "Faith comes from what we hear, and what we hear comes from the word of God." If you could measure your spiritual temperature, you would see that what makes it go up or down is in the time you spend with the Bible.

If your faith is at its lowest, now is a good time to spend more time with the Word of God. Do not envy the faith of others. The simple way to raise your faith is to spend more time in the scriptures.

Today, review your priorities, take control of your time, and put Bible reading at the top of your to-do list. If your desire is to grow in faith, this is the price you must be prepared to pay.

Listen to the voice of God

Let’s take the time to listen to what God means. Do you find it difficult to spend time in His Word ? Ask God for inspiration to organize your schedule according to His will.

Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example prayer : "Lord, I want to grow in faith and make my personal time with You a priority on my agenda. Help me discipline myself to honor this commitment I am making to You today."

Praise God

To praise God is to show him our gratitude. What are your subjects of recognition today ? Take a moment to thank the Lord for this.

Act today

Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.

Honor the Lord

Our route for the day comes to an end. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"Thank you Lord for your revealed Word, which enlightens and gives understanding to the simple. Yours be the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. So be it !"
