Growing in the faith

"So faith comes from hearing, and what is heard comes from the word of Christ." Romans 10.17

To know the level of your faith, be attentive to your words : "The word that they heard was of no use to them, for they were not united by faith to those who heard it" (Heb. 4.2 ).

Do not envy your neighbor's faith.

Reading the Word of God is not enough, you must receive it and proclaim it. We all affirm all sorts of things, but sometimes we do not really believe them because they are not part of our lives.

You should live in such a way that if God was not the one he says to be, your life would be meaningless. You must therefore :

- Seek opportunities to trust God more.

- Believe that it can intervene whatever the situation.

- Strengthen your faith in view of future difficulties.

Here is how to do it : "Faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes from the word of Christ." If you could measure your spiritual temperature, you would see that what makes it rise or fall is in the time you spend with the Bible. You may think that today your faith is at its lowest. This is the time to spend more time with the Word of God. Do not envy your neighbor's faith. To raise your faith to its level, the method is quite simple: you have to spend more time in the Scriptures.

Action for Today

Examine your priorities, take control of your time and put Bible reading at the top of the list of things to do. If you seriously want to grow in faith, this is the price you have to be willing to pay.
