The "movement of faith" has brought much, in teaching, spiritual growth, and miracles. However, we have often forgotten to make faith active through love. James will say : "My brothers and sisters, what is the use of someone to say that he has faith, if he does not have works ? Can this faith save him ?" (James 2:14) So many churches teach faith, and Christians become as fat as geese that we give. They produce no fruit. Everything is centered on them. Faith for my miracle, faith for my couple, faith for my children, faith for my work, faith for my increase, faith for my holidays, faith for my success, etc. By dint of wanting to manifest faith for oneself, we forget the interests of God for the world.
"... if I have all the faith to carry mountains, but I do not have love, I am nothing" (1 Corinthians 13: 2). By dint of wanting "everything", some people become "nothing". Our faith must manifest, not only for us, but for the people of this world. We must seek to grow in faith, not only to achieve our goals and desires, but to reach the lost !
I have been in a church of faith for years, and the teaching was delicious. But hardly anyone announced the Gospel ! Me, including. I was fed, fed, satiated, fattened, fed... but those who eat without ever evacuating are constipated... and there are many people constipated in their faith. They are "stuck", uncomfortable. Not showing love will make people uncomfortable in front of the world, in front of people.
"God, nobody has ever seen it. But if we love one another, God dwells in us and his love is fully manifested among us" (1 John 4:12). It is when we love that the Spirit of God is manifested in us and that faith is generated in the hearts. It is good to testify of our faith, and it must be manifested around us by acts marked with love.
