Have I forgotten the individual ?

When Annabelle told me that I did not care about the people on our team, I did not agree. She told me that I did not follow people well enough. I had improved in my new job because I was following people's tasks... but maybe not people. Hmm... I'm coming to work, greeting a few people, going back to my office, meditating for a moment, and overwhelmed the rest of the day. I often stay in my office at noon.. and I go home. Did this way of working reveal a bigger problem ? Did I forget the individual ? Was that what had made me lose my zeal in proclaiming the Gospel ? Did wanting the awakening of a multitude make me forget the awakening of an individual ? Oh...

I am not talkative. I can stay in a car with someone and not talk for an hour without being disturbed by the silence. I do not have many topics of discussion, because few natural things interest me in general. It does not help me... That's why I do not listen to information, I do not read newspapers, and I do not do certain things... As my brother-in-law wrote in a song Gwen : "The things of this world do not feed me". It is true that I am not interested in hearing people talk about their weekend activities or what they ate at lunchtime. Should I forget the individual ? It would be a great mistake to miss out on everything, because it is by listening and talking with the individual that you can encourage them to approach the Lord. Oh Jesus the example so wonderful. His character is so sweet and he has so much interest in the individual. It is this character that brought him to bear fruit in the lives of many people. He loved them. But time passes so quickly and I'm so overwhelmed ! How could I manage to take care of the individual ?

The heart of the man. Behind that face, behind those eyes, what is hiding behind ? And if I had forgotten that behind this face and those eyes hid wounds, needs, sufferings...
