Have the right approach
Someone with experience avoids talking too much. Proverb 17:27
It is not enough to have the right answers, you have to use them well. Good ideas and good advice are useless if you apply them brutally.
Wisdom is using the right words, at the right time, in the right way. "Someone who is experienced avoids talking too much and a reasonable person takes time to think."
Your efforts to help someone change will be in vain, or worse, counterproductive, if you don't approach them with love and humility. Most people already know their problem. They've probably been suffering from it for a while and deep down they want to get out of it. Unless you are ready to "get laid on you," you need to know how to take them.
"Pleasant speeches are a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and healing to the body." (Proverb 16.24)
"Wisdom is using the right words, at the right time, in the right way."
Jesus said : "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)
If people deny the truth in the way you share it, part of the problem may be with you.
A former US senator writes :
"You can throw your ideas like bullets or like grains of wheat. You can shoot them or sow them. Ideas thrown like bullets kill inspiration and motivation. Ideas sown like seeds take root, grow. and bear fruit where they are planted. The only risk is that once they grow elsewhere, it will probably be forgotten that you started them, but if you are ready to go. pass from this recognition, your harvest will be bountiful."
Advice for today
Take the right approach, may your love and humility be a healing balm for those who cross your path.
