He delivers His people from His trials !

The songs of victory sung after the victory are not true songs of faith. Why ? Because our doubts do not receive a mortal blow through a victory experience. You see, when we experience victorious deliverance, we have a temporary impulse of gratitude. We are naturally joyful because our God acted with mercy in our favor, despite our doubts. But what happens to our doubts ? They are simply buried a little farther in our hearts.

Dear saint, the fact is that God has led you into your present situation. You may be surrounded by obstacles on all sides, with what seems to be an enemy coming closer. You say to yourself : "Lord, You have faithfully led me all my life. But I do not understand what I'm going through. The future seems so dark."

At this moment we live in a time of confusion and chaos such as the world has never known. Satan uses fear to torment multitudes. In the midst of all this, our Lord asks His people : "How are you going to manage all this ? Are you going to believe in My promises despite everything that is going on around you ? Are you going to trust me in spite of your deepest fears ?"

To be able to do this, we must fix our minds on the Lord : "Thou shalt secure peace, peace, because he trusted in thee" (Isaiah 26: 3). Our will has a role in all this. No matter how incredibly dark our situation has become, faith must rise in us to say : "No, Satan! No, World ! I entrust myself to Him who has delivered me faithfully in all circumstances."

It is at this moment that perfect peace comes. It is given by the Lord Himself, who is happy to see our trust in Him. Then, while chaos reigns everywhere, our lives will bring a powerful message of His joy. He gave us a song to sing to the world : "The Lord is faithful. He delivers His people from His trials !"
