He does not prophesy anything good !

2 Chronicles 18.7 - The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat, "There is yet a man by whom one may inquire of the Lord ; but I hate him, because he prophesies nothing good to me, he never prophesies anything but evil : it is Micah, son of Imlah".

How much has this prophecy of Paul : "Itching to hear pleasant things" (2 Timothy 4: 3) become a reality in our time. Like Ahab, many "Christians" hate the prophetic Word which is wrong with them. They want comfort, nice things, promises of prosperity or "great ministries", but the Word that warns, reprimands, censors... they don't want it. And when the "disaster" comes, they wonder what happens to them.

Of course, when you are called to prophesy, it is much easier to have words of comfort that will "thrill" your audience. Unfortunately, many times the Lord needs to make right what is crooked. However, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that even if a Word is hard to hear, it is salutary and a manifestation of the love of God who wants no one to perish but to come to repentance (2 Peter 3.9).

My beloved, let's not be that kind of Christian. Let us know how to let ourselves be taken back. Let us take the Lord's warnings seriously. I will go even further, let us surround with our love the "prophets" who sound the trumpets to warn the people of the dangers that loom on the horizon. Servants of God and community leaders, leave space for the prophetic in your meetings. Pay attention to what the Spirit says to the churches. It is for your own salvation.
