He is coming !

For the Lord himself... will come down from heaven,... we will all together be caught up... on clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4. 16, 17

He is coming !

The other day, I arrive at a friend's house. Here I am barely out of the car, I hear shouting : "It's Ben !" and a little girl, Juliette, runs towards me and throws her around the neck. What a welcome ! How long had she been there, waiting, rejoicing already, impatient to see me arrive ?

It warmed my heart and at the same time made me think...

We know the Lord Jesus is coming. Do we expect it every day ? Isn't he the One we love above all else ? And yet, we are often far from being ready to rush towards him if we were to see him in the next moment.

Maybe you're not that close to him. He seems so little known to you. So don't wait any longer, read the Gospels to know him better.

But maybe it's something unsettled between Jesus and you that's holding you back. Don't wait any longer to come to him, he loves you so much that he wants to be close to you again.

Or do material things have more value in your eyes today than he does ?

Let us encourage ourselves to know him better by reading his Word in order to desire his return ever more.

"The Spirit and the Bride (the Church) say, Come. Let him who hears say, Come" (Revelation 22:17).
