"The Lord is my shepherd (...) He restores my soul." Psalm 23: 1 and 3
This verse of Psalm 23 proves how God satisfies the emotional needs of his children. The word soul includes spirit and emotions.
Follow the "good shepherd" and he will lead you in peace and quiet.
Have you ever been in situations where your mind and emotions were spinning when you could not sleep or rest because of pressure or worry ? There is no need to get there ! Follow the "good shepherd" and he will lead you in peace and quiet.
When the psalmist writes, "He restores my soul," he means that the "good shepherd" wants to help you become strong, peaceful, calm and give you good emotional health. It will take you where you were before you feel bad.
An action for today
You may have had to deal with an event that has disrupted your mind and emotions. Instead of remaining in the blessing that brings peace and rest, you began to agitate yourself, to feel fear and anxiety. Do not continue in this way, rather start resting in the Lord. It will lead you back to the state where you can fully experience the peace, the rest and the assurance that comes from being there. May the "good shepherd" restore your soul.
