He will never leave us

"Put on all the weapons of God, that ye may stand firm against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11).

Believers from Iraq's war-torn country testify : "Hard times do not come - for us, the difficult times have been there for years." They have been through difficult times for generations and have Learned to cling to the faith. Because they have put on all the weapons of God, they are equipped to stand firm in the face of evil and to preach the gospel to those around them.

I sincerely believe that the vast majority of disciples in today's world are under attack from hell, enduring seemingly hopeless diabolical situations. And you ? If you do not face a test of faith at this time, I invite you to be extremely grateful. But remain humble and prudent so that you do not boast of your own strength or your faith.

Satan waits until the one who is tested is tired, drained of all strength and endurance. He waits until no prayer is answered, until everything seems desperate and we have reached the end of our resources. It happened to Peter when he watched his Master being humiliated before the Sanhedrin (see Matthew 26: 57-58). It happened to Job when he was forced to submit and think about the loss of all that was dear to him.

Questions began to arise : "Lord, where are You ? Why do not my prayers receive an answer ?" Be careful because it is at this very moment that Satan will implant his terrible lie : "God has rejected you. He can not hear you."

Yet, God did not reject you - and He will never do it. He has commanded us to be ready by putting on all the weapons of God and then He assures us that He will never leave us. "Behold, I am with you every day, even unto the end of the world" (Matthew 28:20). At this very moment He says to you : "I will never leave you."
