He will scatter your ennemies

A version close to the original Hebrew of Psalm 119 says : "Those who are addicted to machinations have come near to me, and have distanced themselves from your law. O LORD, you are also near me ; And all thy commandments are but truth." (Psalms 119: 150-151, Martin version).

The demonic powers and principalities had encircled David, trying to lead him to ruin, as did Israel. But this man of God has testified that, even as the Enemy approached, he knew that the Lord would be even more ready.

In this testimony of David, we find a wonderful promise for you and me. We can be sure that Satan has gone out to destroy, harass and defeat all who love the Lord. He will do everything in his power to draw us into a well of despair, confusion, guilt and condemnation.

Do those who pursue the crime, these satanic powers, come to fight against you at this moment ? An overwhelming temptation ? Financial burdens ? Problems in marriage or family ? When those who pursue thee draw near to thee with the purpose of destroying thee, take courage, because the Lord God Almighty is nearer still. He is on your side - and if He is near you, He will act in your favor.

"God rises, his enemies are scattered, and his adversaries flee before his face. As the smoke dissipates, you dissipate them ; As the wax melts in the fire, the wicked disappear before God. But the righteous rejoice, they triumph before God, They have transports of joy. Sing to God, celebrate His name ! Fight the way to the one who walks across the plains ! The Lord is his name : rejoice before him" (Psalm 68: 1-4).

See what God has promised to do for us, if we put our trust in Him! When we entrust our anxieties to Him, God scatters our enemies.

David Wilkerson
