Heart trouble

Beloved, I encourage you, as temporary and foreign residents on earth, to abstain from the desires of your own nature that make war on the soul. 1 Peter 2:11

We all know that absolute freedom does not exist. We can not drive on the street at 100 miles an hour. You can not punch me because your freedom stops at the end of my nose. We can say that we want the freedom to publish pornography, to promote harmful drugs, to have unrestricted sex, to lie, to cheat ; but if we continue with this kind of permissive freedom, we will destroy ourselves.

Man can remain free only if he has the moral power to restrain his appetites. Basically, our problem is a heart problem. Our hearts need to be changed... peace will never come until we change human nature until people begin to love each other instead of hating each other.

I need your guidance in my life, Lord. You free me from the servitude of my carnal appetite.
