His promises are stronger than our doubts
Searching the Scriptures
She (Sara) laughs to herself, thinking to herself : Now that I am worn out, will I still have desires ? My Lord is old too. Genesis 18:12
Abraham and Sarah had received a promise : the birth of a child. Unfortunately, time passed and the hoped-for child never arrived. They were old now. When the Lord repeated the promise, saying : "I will come back to you at the same time, and your wife will have a son" (Genesis 18:10), the latter laughed. Impossible ! Unrealizable ! And yet, the following year, they did have a son whom they named Isaac, meaning "he laughs." This name was given as a testimony, a reminder. This name implies that even if you doubt what God promises He will accomplish.
The Word of God and its promises are not based on your emotions or your feelings. They are not "yes" and not "amen" either in you but in Jesus : "For all the promises of God, it is in him (Jesus) that the" yes "is found, and it is therefore also through him that we say "amen" to God, for his glory" (2 Corinthians 1:20). In other words, your unbelief prevents you from accepting God's promises, but your doubts do not prevent God from fulfilling his promises.
Sometimes you believe that God has abandoned you, you no longer feel his presence. You ask yourself : will he fulfill his Word, his promises? The sovereignty of God does not depend on your intuition or your impression. The power of God does not work through your feelings but through His Word. Yes, our God is : "he who can do, by the power that works in us, infinitely more than anything we ask or think" (Ephesians 3:20).
The Lord is not limited by your impossibilities, your emotions, your feelings. His power is based on his Word, not on you. What Grace ! Do not underestimate God, he is greater than your doubts.
Listen to the voice of God
Let's take the time to listen to what God means. His word and his promises do not come back to him without having produced an effect, without having achieved what he wanted.
Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and He can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : "Lord, I realize that it is in you that your promises are fulfilled and not in me. You are not limited by my fears, thank you my God."
Praise God
To praise God is to show him our gratitude. Today, what are your subjects of recognition ? Take a moment to thank the Lord.
Act today
Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.
Honor the Lord
Our route for the day comes to an end. Let us pray together to honor our God.
"Thank you Lord for I will continue to move forward and believe in your faithfulness. Yours be the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen !"
