"I am convinced that whoever has begun this good work in you will make it perfect for the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1.6
There are moments in life as we move from one stage of our Christian walk to another, where it seems to us that all progress is stopped. It's as if we had hit an obstacle that prevents us from moving forward. We watch for the smallest sign of movement and desperately want to do something, anything, to get us back on track. Do you see what I mean ?
Storms can also be opportunities for prodigious growth.
Maybe you're trying to start a business, create a new relationship, start a family, or start a new career. For a while, you felt like you were walking fast and you were happy. It seemed to you that you would soon see your dream come true. It was then that your progress stopped and you are now starting to wonder if it will resume one day.
I want to encourage you! God will carry out the work he has begun in you. Whenever you try to access a higher level of responsibility or blessing in your life, you also experience increased opposition and adversity. The devil does not want you to realize the goals that God has set for you, and as long as you are determined to move forward, he will put you in the wrong places to try to stop you.
These storms in life are always delicate moments. We soon question the way we follow and give in to the temptation to drop everything. But storms can also be opportunities for prodigious growth.
When you reach the end of the tunnel after persevering in a difficult time, you discover strength and endurance that you did not have before. You are much better armed in the face of future adversities, because you have stood firm in this storm.
An encouragement for today
When you are in a storm, even if you do not move forward, the important thing is to anchor yourself deeply and to be determined not to back down. You are not going to concede to the enemy of the land that you have bitterly disputed !
