Hope for the future

As for us, our right of city is in heaven, from which we also await, as Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:20

If you move to a new home, you want to know everything about the community you are going to. And since we are going to spend eternity somewhere, we should know something about it. The information concerning the sky is in the Bible. When we talk about the sky, the earth is in a sorry state in comparison. Our sorrows and problems here seem much less when we have a strong anticipation of the future.

In a sense, the Christian has paradise here below. He has peace of soul, peace of conscience and peace with God. In the midst of trouble and difficulties, he can smile. He has a spring in his step, a joy in his soul, a smile on his face. But the Bible also promises the Christian a paradise in the future life.

Prayer for the day

Father, faced with the trials that come before me, I will rejoice in the glorious promise of heaven - knowing that I will be with you !
