How do you see yourself today ?

“We are transformed into his image from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3.18

Are you able to honestly assess your conduct ? Can you assess your progress, consider where you started, but also imagine how far you can go ? Your position today is not your finish line. Like Moses you must have a clear vision of this line, to motivate your running and your struggles. Paul writes : “All of us who, without a veil over our faces, contemplate the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, we are transformed into his image, from glory to glory, by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18). In other words the change is step by step, we go from glory to even greater glory. Let us appreciate the “glory” that is ours today, without envying that of others, more advanced than us on the path. Satan seeks to rob us of this joy, and does everything to convince us that we do not deserve this privilege or that we have made no progress. So we must learn to live by relying on the Word of God, without trusting our impressions and feelings. God promised that He would continue to work in us until the last day : “I am convinced that he who has begun this good work in you will continue it to its end, until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1. 6). We are all masterpieces in renovation. Jesus Christ knows that we have not yet reached the stage of perfection. So He stands “in the breach” (Ezekiel 22. 30), interceding for us without ceasing. How do you see yourself today ? As God sees you ? “He (God) predestined us to be his adopted children through Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 1.5). He sees you as His children. His Word to you today is : Behave like children of God and stop denigrating yourselves !
