How does God communicate with you ?

He answered : "Speak, for your servant is listening." 1 Samuel 3.10

The Greek language teaches us a lot about God, which French does not necessarily transcribe. For example, do you know that in Greek there are two words for "the word" ?

The word "logos" for the written word of God (what you read in the Bible).

The word "rhema", meanwhile, refers rather to the revealed word of God, a personal word given to someone.

God's "rhema" is the words we hear in our heart. It is when God speaks to the depths of our being. This "rhema" is so powerful that it can carry us all day, whole week, and even a lifetime.

God loves men deeply, and he wants to communicate with everyone.

As Christians, we know that God is the Word.

The Bible tells us this : "In the beginning the Word already existed, the Word was with God and the Word was God." John 1.1

If God is the Word, then it is only logical that he wants to speak !

In the Garden of Eden, before the fall, God went into the garden and communicated with Adam and Eve every day. He wants to do the same thing with each of his children today, and so with you too !

God wants to communicate with you every day every hour. Of course, He likes to hear you. But he also likes to talk to you, to tell you what's on his heart. Tell you his love for you, and also for the people around you.

Today, I would like to give you the encouragement to listen (hear your heart) and listen to God's "rhema" for you, or for the people you are going to meet today. He alone knows us deeply, and knows what we need to hear today. Let his "rhêma" encourage you and carry you throughout this day.

Do you want to have this communication with God ? Just open your heart. Make your spiritual ear sensitive to his voice. Shut out all other concerns. Concentrate your thinking on Jesus, and listen to him speak to you, simply ...
