As witnesses, we are all called to bear witness. It is therefore essential for those who listen to us to hear a clear testimony, with well-defined points.

Say what you were before meeting Jesus without exaggeration. Avoid talking too much about your old sins. If you talk about it, it's really for a constructive purpose. In any case, they should not be too much publicity.

Explain clearly how your encounter with the Lord was, and of course avoid all those words that belong to the "Canaan Gospel patois".

Just say what it means to you to have received Jesus in your life as Savior and Lord, to be a Christian. Explain the privileges of life in Christ. Give details of what faith brings to you in everyday life. It is the truth that liberates and it is it that the Spirit of truth wants to confirm. It goes without saying that a testimony, it works, it gets ready. Take the time, for example, to register and listen to yourself. You can do this directly from the built-in microphone to most new generation computers.

You can also, if you wish, write your story on a simple sheet of paper. Keep in mind that you have to respect the three-part principle. And then, do not hesitate to give testimony when asked, whether in a public church meeting or in a house meeting.

The more you testify, the more you will progress in the way of witnessing. More than ever, we must consider the power of personal witness. Most of us came to Jesus through a Christian who testified to us.
