I already know it !
Isaiah 48: 6 and 7 - Now I am telling you new, hidden things that you do not know. They are created now and not for a long time ; until this day, you had not heard of it so that you could not say : "I already knew it !" (Sower).
Do you know that God can keep things hidden until the moment He decides they will be revealed ? There are mysteries which can only be understood and discovered in due time. Thus the mystery of the gospel of Jesus Christ was revealed to his apostles. Prophetic revelations have been announced to the prophets of the Lord who have proclaimed them, but they often do not take on meaning until they have been fulfilled.
My reflection is : "Do not judge anything before time" ! (1 Corinthians 4.5). The innate fear of the new and the unknown closes our minds. We prefer to stick to the “I already know”, it's risk-free and “proven”.
Think of all those who have experienced the “newness” of God ! If they had stayed on the “I already know”, they would have missed out on the gesture of faith. Millions of people crossing a "dry" sea, these same people nourished for forty years by the sky, walls which crumble to the cries of a people, a pregnant virgin, a man who walks on water, a hundred twenty people who speak perfectly a language other than theirs without having learned it... The Lord is the specialist of the irrational and breathtaking novelty.
My beloved, let us judge nothing before the time, the time to understand what is hidden. We rarely understand the purpose of everything that happens to us. The Lord has plans for our life that are way beyond us. Jesus tells us : "What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will soon understand" (John 13.7). Let's not be jaded by saying : “I already know that !", But let us be surprised by the" novelties "of the Creator by humbly saying to Him : "Lord, teach me !".
Good reflection.
