I am not a pastor ! Neither evangelist !

It is true that being a pastor or evangelist facilitates discussions about the gospel. People can ask you what you do in life, and this is a great opportunity to proclaim the gospel. Some people think that pastors have a special anointing to proclaim the gospel, but it is false. However, that's what they do in life, they are pastors. You may not be a pastor or evangelist, but you still have the opportunity to talk about Jesus if he is the center of your life. Some may even ask you what you have special, just because Christ comes from you.

My little girl announces the Gospel in all its classes. All know, from teachers to students, that Jesus is in his life. Yet she is not a pastor, she is simply a child of God. Why is it easier for a child to proclaim the gospel ? In fact, it is a misconception : it is not easier. That's why many children will never talk about Jesus to others, for the same reasons their parents do not do it either.

You can create opportunities, or present yourself differently. And if, when people ask you what you do in life, you tell them that your job is to love people. That's the command he left us ? You can also say : "I live for God, but I work in..." or "What do I do in life ? I am learning to love God, to obey him, and he has given me this work..." and then begin to share with them your faith and your trust in him.

Even if you are neither pastor nor evangelist, this should not be a reason not to mention the one who saved you. It is not written in Mark 16 : "Pastors, go to the whole world and announce the Good News to all men". No, Jesus spoke to the disciples by saying it. So, if you are a follower of Jesus, you are qualified, glory to God !
