Each of us will account to God for himself. Romans 14. 12

God is greater than man. Do you want to argue with him, because he does not give an account of his deeds ? Job 33, 12, 13

I have of account to render to person !

"I do what I want !" ; "I do not need person". Or "it's not my fault, it's the other who provoked me"... Common thoughts of people who think they can live their lives as they please.

Only one is accountable to no one, that's God. We, his creatures, will be accountable to him. Let's be careful, each of our words will be scrutinized. Jesus warns us : “On the day of judgment men will give an account of every vain word they have spoken” (Matthew 12:36). What about arrogant or blasphemous words ?

Yes, I am responsible for my words and my behavior, the orientation of my life, the use of my time... But I am not my own master. One day, God will say to me : I had given you intelligence, health, many abilities, what have you done with all his gifts ? “Account for your stewardship” (Luke 16:2). He will also say : I spoke to you on a certain day in 2022, how did you listen that day ? What have you done with Jesus Christ ? Who is he to you ?

Can we appropriate these words of life today ? “He is the true God and eternal life” (1 John 5:20). "God has given us eternal life, and that this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life ; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life... You have life eternal, you who believe in the name of the Son of God" (1 John 5:11-13).
