You who seek God, may your heart live. Psalm 69. 33
I am the way, the truth and the life. One only comes to the Father through me. John 14. 6
I really wanted to meet God
"I grew up in France in a Muslim family marked by violence. I found comfort in observing nature, ants, butterflies. I perceived there a kind of principle of life, and I believed in God. He had created everything, and I wanted to meet him...
At 22, I was walking on the beach, alone, and I was praying : "You whom I do not see but whom I perceive through nature and creation, I speak to you. Where are you ? What is your name ? How can I find it ? My Creator, if I have done anything wrong, tell me." Suddenly, I am pushed to look at the ground, and on the sand, I see a small red book. The answer to my prayer ? It was a gospel of John. I opened it, and the first word I read was that of Jesus : "I am the way, the truth and the life. One does not come to the Father except through me" (John 14. 6). My whole being was shouting : "He is your Creator !" That evening, I knelt down and asked Jesus to bring me back to birth, as he had told Nicodemus (John 3). An unknown joy flooded me. I was finally at peace. I knew my Creator.
Muslim families are very sensitive to honor. Becoming a Christian is often seen as a betrayal. I prayed a lot, but I couldn't compromise anymore. I announced it to my mother. She told me she was denying me. I told her that she would remain my mother no matter what she decided. Finally, we stayed in touch, I thank God for that !"
