Imagine your baby

Some couples do not succeed in having children, and for them it is a great sadness and a great burden. Glory to God, we know that nothing is impossible for our God. But in this waiting period, the expectant mother sometimes observes behind the window of her car a mother behind a stroller, parents greet their child after school, a child playing with his dad in a park or a group of moms with their infants. And then they start to imagine their baby. My baby will be like this, my baby will be like this. They imagine they are pregnant, putting their hand on their belly.

I would like to ask you to imagine your baby. Not a baby as you might think, but a spiritual baby, a new convert that you bring to Christ.

Recently, I had the grace to bring a person to Christ. I see her and my heart is happy when she comes to church, when she sends me questions about the Word of God... She grows up and she will grow, little by little, day by day. It's my baby.

My wife laughed at me when I told her about someone to whom I testified about the Lord. I told him, "This person is special, there is something special about his life". She said to me : "But in fact you say that about every person to whom you speak of the Lord." Ha ha, it's a bit true ! I thought and I noticed that it is true that when a person is open, I feel for her a paternal affection.

Have you ever heard a parent talk about his child as unique? Mom is excited to tell her friends that her baby has taken her first steps, as if it were a unique feat. But in fact, there are billions of children who have already done so. Dad talks about his son as if he was the best footballer or engineer in the area, but in reality he is not. But for the father, his son really has something special. It's because he looks at him through father's eyes, eyes of love.
