Impossible hiding place

They cried to the mountains and the rocks : Fall on us and hide us from the gaze of him who sits on the throne, from the wrath of the Lamb. Revelation 6.16

On Friday afternoon, at the college where I work, an announcement rang out over the loudspeaker : “Student X must report to reception”. The first time I heard this thundering summons, in addition to my astonishment, I wanted to laugh. Indeed, the first and last name of the boy strangely resembles a famous commercial sign. This student had an appointment with a speech therapist or a psychologist, and did not want to go there... We can easily imagine his embarrassment when his name is shouted in the ears of about 600 people and he wants to flee !

This gives a very pale reflection of what will happen at the end of time, when men will seek to hide in terror before the wrath of the Lamb, who is Christ. For whether we like it or not, there will be a convocation of all the earth. How to avoid this anger ?

How to be part of this huge crowd which on the contrary rejoices in his arrival ? Throughout the Bible, God prepares us for this, pointing the way to being spared. It is enough to believe in him, to put our trust in Christ who died in our place by undergoing divine wrath himself. So, we will not try to hide ourselves, because it will be a day of eternal joy !
