In a fun fair (continued)

As I wrote yesterday, while going through this fun fair, I was stunned to see the "state" of these hundreds of teenagers. It seemed as if the Church had been removed from the earth to leave behind her a dead, lifeless, sad youth, crumbling under the weight of a heavy burden. Their clothes, their looks, their skins attacked by pain and despair ! I thought it was definitely the best place to be for a Christian !

The dust on the floor increased the impression of death and prison. While those who accompanied me enjoyed the attractions, I watched the people, shocked. There were many who looked drugged, the clothes were short, often representing death, blood, skulls. The dark tattoos were everywhere on the skins, the rings hollowed out by the pain of life were outlined on many. Lord ! It's as if the Lord had thrown me to hell for a moment.. but I was well on the earth, less than an hour from my house so quiet ! I had never seen that in France, it was amazing! And it is certainly this amazement that Nehemiah lived when he heard the report of Hanani and the group of men who accompanied him : "Those who have survived captivity and live in the province of Judah are in a great misery and in a very humiliating situation ; there are breaches in the wall of Jerusalem and its gates have been destroyed by fire."

When Nehemiah heard this news, he sat down and began to cry. For several days he was dejected. He fasted, supplicating the Lord, reminding him of his covenant, his promises, and asking him the success of the step he was going to take to change this situation.

Some people do not have eyes to see. They can not see. Lot tormented his soul just because of the sins he saw in his city. I feel like I have visited Babylon. And you, do you have eyes to see and a heart to bear the burden of God ? Have you become insensitive or conversely, are you asking the Lord to save through you, reminding him of his saving power and the mandate he has given you ?
