Before I was a blasphemer, a persecutor and a violent... Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. 1 Timothy 1.13, 15
Publishing what is behind and striving with effort towards what is in front, I run straight to the point. Philippians 3:13, 14
In a remand center
The visitor was particularly stressed, entering the room where a whole group of inmates awaited him. He had offered to speak with them about the gospel, the good news announced in the Bible, and many had agreed to attend out of interest... or to forget their daily problems for an hour or two...
He was so stressed... that he stumbled as he approached his chair and fell, eliciting general hilarity. Ashamed, he wanted to leave.
However, he remained and spoke : "What has just happened in front of you is the perfect illustration of what I wanted to talk to you about today. You can fall and lose everyone's esteem... then get up again. and keep moving forward. It is not too late. Jesus Christ has come to save those who are lost." From there, it was easy for him to announce to the suddenly serious audience that no one has fallen low enough to be beyond the reach of God's love. When human justice condemns us, God the Supreme Judge knows our exact situation too, but He has a unique resource to forgive our sins, while being righteous. He does it because Jesus Christ was condemned in our place. Whoever accepts this sacrifice of Jesus for him becomes totally righteous before God; offenses against God, much more serious than those made against men, are forgiven him. Whatever his situation and his future on earth, he can be reborn, get up and start anew, with the confidence that he is now accompanied by God himself. Are you interested ?
